As a child I played youth football and continued all throughout high school. Football helped shape my character and my hard work ethic. My involvement with the sport continues as a fan and now a coach of my son’s football team. The Vikings rebrand became a personal project when I was asked to design their uniforms.
The 2017 football season began with the 7 on 7 Passing League for skill players. Their identity began to take shape after research of the Viking culture. I also wanted to mix-in the Huntington Beach vibes.
With the regular season approaching, desired emphasis on the “HB” of Huntington Beach was requested. I wanted to show motion in the letters of the final logo and give the team a unique brand compared to the other teams of the league who are currently copying professional and college teams.
